FISHING WITH BILL REABE:
With all the cold weather and snow we,'ve been having, I don,'t know about you but I,'m ready for the weather to warm up so I can think about getting the boat out. The reports that I,'ve been getting are saying that the bluegill and crappie bite is doing great right now. Bluegills are being found in 8 to 15 feet of water, while crappies are in deep water 20 to 30 feet and more. Most bluegills are being caught on small tear drops baited with waxies or spikes, while the crappies are coming on a plain hook and small minnow or a small flutter spoon and a minnow. The walleye action has been slowing down while northern are starting to pick up. If you,'re up for a little trip, Little Bay de Noc in Michigan,'s upper peninsula has been producing some really nice walleyes around the Gladstone area, with most large fish coming at night. Just check with any sport shop in the area and they,'ll be grad to give you some good fishing information. Good Luck!
