Friendly Warning Rifle Range Rules:
As the rifle range has had an increase in the number of shooters, all club members that use the range need to step up and do a better job of policing themselves and other members.
This year we have found Christmas trees and garbage dumped at the range. Also someone is taking the concrete blocks and shooting them. The blocks are there for a future project.   This is your range Protect it.

HERE ARE THE RULES:
* Paper targets or cardboard targets placed on the backstop boards ONLY:
* No targets on the ground (prevent ricochet)
* No clay birds, bottles, cans, or fruit on the ground (prevent ricochet)
* Please no shooting at the steel target frames on purpose. Also because your bullet’s will
   Ricochet off them.
* Pick up all your paper/cardboard targets. Take them home with you.
* Pick up your shotgun/slug shell casing.
*Only shoot at the targets on the steel frames in front of you, Do not shoot across range to     another target.  (Keep your bullets in the range)
* ONLY shoot from West to East.
* Safely share the range with all shooters.  (Member’s only)
* Keep the gate locked behind you.
* NO fully Automatic fire.  (NONE)
*Safety, Safety, Safety, Safety.

RECYCLE CONTAINERS:
We are very pleased that members are using the new recycle containers.  Remember Cans ONLY.  No bottles or Garbage of any kind. “THANKS” Now if we could only get the smokers to use the butt buckets.
CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP SHOOTOFF’S:
The following handicap league teams should place this date on there calendar. Saturday August 29, 2009 because your team has won the first half championship of your league and has won a spot in the yearly championship shoot. (Times will be posted on Tuesday of that week). Please remember there are NO shoot ahead allowed in the championship shootoffs.

Tuesday Night teams that won first half: Chicken Chaser’s Bar, Wingnuts, won in shootoff.
Olson Auto Service, Slim’s Lake Hallie Tavern, Archer Lions, Leinies Chiefs, River Rats, won in shootoff.  Leader Telegram won in shootoff. Ultimate Ladies, Eau Claire Fire Engine #2.

Wednesday Night Teams that won first half: Rada’s Mens Wear, won in shootoff. North Country Investigations, Ray’s Place, Klevgaard Bookkeeping Service, National Flooring, Dresel-Coldwell Banker, Phillips Plastics, Chuck’s on Clairmont, won in shootoff. Bush’s Idlewild, won in shootoff. Swanson’s Flooring.

For the first time in some years we had enough Tuesdays & Wednesdays so we were able to have a week between the first and second half’s to hold shootoffs for any teams that were tied in their leagues.  We had six teams tied on Tuesday and seven on Wednesday. On Tuesday we had one team (Wing Nuts) shoot 124, The way we heard it the team has 6 openings for shooters next year, that is the 6 that did not shoot 25's. They may keep the one shooter that shot 24.  In two of the shootoff’s the teams tied, and the winner was decided by the sixth score and in both cases the sixth score was 21 to 20. On Wednesday Night two teams tied with a score of 119 each and Rada’s Mens Wear won with a sixth score of 23 to 22

NOTE DAY CHANGE:
Again this year the Wednesday Night League will shoot on Monday Night the week of the Outdoor Games held in August. The dates are Wednesday August 12th will shoot on Monday August 10th.

YOUTH LEAGUE:
The youth league has between 65 and 70 youth shooters this year.  Lots of them first time shooters. The youths and the Club wish to thank all the volunteers that help to make this a great experience in the shooting sport. Also they wish to thank Fred Krause for the time he spent selling hulls on the internet. He sold close to $1,000.00 worth of hulls and it will be used to buy one or two youth model guns to be used by the youth league. A donation from Tom Huse of J. F. Building Inc. will also be used for this purchase. Club members should know that all youth league members shoot at no cost for a round of shooting and if they wish to buy shells they cost only $5.00 per box. Only because of the donation we get from members.

THANK YOU:
We wish to thank Charles (Chuck) Stumpner for the gun rack he build under the Madis shelter. Thanks Chuck.
